Sometimes you get an idea for some ridiculous pun and it suddenly reveals more possibilities. The risk is though that you get so lost down the rabbit-hole spiral of pun self-referentiality that the things you find amusing will make absolutely no sense to anyone. Nevertheless, I can’t resist…
Surely this should be a wake up call for gamblers, playing pokie machines in a casino – “you’re heading down the wrong path! This is your last chance – insert money to make your change…”

Pythonic Witches Hats
A punny reference to A Monty Python skit – (these traffic cones are colloquially called ‘witches hats’ in Oz, just so you know)
Kudos to Goon for these… Walking down the road some years ago, we passed a crushed witches hat under a ute. In his usual understated tone he says “Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition.” It took me two blocks before I got it. I regret not getting a photo – so Google helped me fill the gaps (cheers copyright holders!)
